Why we're building Assura Safety
Fire risk assessments carry real weight. They protect people in the buildings we live and work in, and they leave a paper trail that has to stand up to scrutiny. Yet the tools most assessors rely on to produce them haven’t kept pace with that responsibility.
The problem we kept seeing
Talk to fire-safety professionals and the same frustrations come up again and again:
- Word documents and spreadsheets that drift out of sync, with inconsistent templates and findings that are easy to mis-number or miss entirely.
- Action plans written from memory — recommending the right remedial action and citing the right regulation, by hand, over and over.
- Shifting legislation — the 2022 Regulations and the Building Safety Act changed what’s required, especially for high-rise buildings.
- Hours lost formatting reports after every single site visit, eating into billable time.
None of this makes assessments better. It just makes them slower and harder to defend.
What we’re building
Assura Safety guides an assessor through a complete, structured assessment, drafts prioritised action plans grounded in the legislation, and produces a branded, audit-ready report — with photo evidence captured against individual findings, and the right questions surfacing automatically for high-rise residential buildings.
The goal is simple: faster assessments, more consistent records, and a defensible trail — without cutting corners.

One principle shapes everything we build: the software is a drafting aid, not a decision-maker. It structures the work and does the heavy lifting, but the competent assessor stays firmly in control of every judgement. AI-drafted action plans are there to be reviewed and refined, never rubber-stamped.
